Video Created with a Focus on SDGs to Introduce the Suitability of the Oki Islands and Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine for Educational Trips!

In recent years, educational trips have increasingly sought programs with learning opportunities that include an SDGs element in addition to learning about nature, history, and culture, and where students take initiative in exploring locales through hands-on experience with local people and industries.
Amidst this increasing demand, Shimane Tourism Federation has created videos (10-minute full-length versions, 5-minute cuts) with a focus on SDGs to introduce the attractive qualities (i.e., learning materials) unique to Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine and the Oki Islands.
Moving forward, we hope to raise interest in Shimane Prefecture as an area that can help people to better understand the significance and importance of SDGs and strive to increase school visits through educational trips by sharing these videos online on platforms such as the Shimane Educational Trip Guide Book website and YouTube.

Please make sure to take a look, as educational trips are increasingly covering the Oki Islands in their learning materials.
