“A Peek into the Geopark World Through Calligraphy” will be held as follows on the four Oki Islands.

On display will be works and pictures by calligrapher Riseki Fujii that embody the feeling of Oki Islands Geopark sites.

Other geopark areas will also be introduced!

Additionally, a special mini-lecture by Riseki Fujii will be held on November 26. Please make sure to come!

Lecturer 

Riseki Fujii 

Beginning her calligraphy journey at the age of six, Riseki joined the calligraphy clubs of her junior and senior high schools. In college, she studied biology and English, gaining a qualification to teach English at the junior high school level before enrolling in Niigata University to study calligraphy. After graduation, she worked in geopark-related positions for a total of 6 years in the San’in Kaigan and Minami-Alps areas. Currently, she runs a calligraphy classroom in Nagano Prefecture. Her hobbies include running and visiting geoparks.
