Lifestyles and Traditions - Festivals
Held on the last Saturday and Sunday of July, even-numbered years, at Amasashihiko-no-mikoto Shrine (Ikkū Shrine) (Chibu Village)
This festival is held over the span of two days. On both days, after the Urayasu-no-mai Dance and Sanbansō Dance from Dōzen Kagura are performed as an offering, other performances and children's kabuki are dedicated at the "playhouse," which is a Tangible Cultural Property of Chibu Village. On the second day of the festival, after prayers are dedicated at the worship hall, the children's mikoshi and main mikoshi portable shrine are paraded.
