【Event ended】Temporary Exhibit “Poems of Ama, Touch on the Seasons: The World of Seasonal Migratory Fish and Waka, Tanka, and Haiku”

Exhibit overview 

A collaborative exhibit between our base in Ama Town, Okiofusha, and Ama Town Central Library! 

For the two weeks between 10/21 (Sat)-11/4 (Sat), we will be holding a temporary exhibit called Poems of Ama, Touch on the Seasons: The World of Seasonal Migratory Fish and Waka, Tanka, and Haiku” at Entô Geo Lounge as a part of the Gotoban-san Art Festival. The public can take part in this exhibit by posting their “favorite poems,which will then be scattered throughout the space. We will also hold the “Aquarium” and “Picture-drawn Aquarium (rolling start) workshops on the 28th (Sat) and 29th (Sun) and an afternoon workshop on the 28th (Sat). We recommend that you enjoy the “Nature and You Live Rally” as you gaze towards the sky and sea through the large windows.

Call for waka, tanka, and haiku poems 

We are currently accepting applications for waka, tanka, and haiku poems written about the five themes of “sea,” “moon,” “waves,” “island,” and “creatures of the sea” regardless of authorship. The collected poems will be added throughout the display period to the exhibition space.
