【Event ended】 Oki Islands Geopark Museum Insect Observation Event

This is an event where you can learn about the various insects that represent one part of the Oki Islands Geopark’s ecosystem. Let’s take a look at what kinds of insects can be found and where to find them—together! 

After the observation event, a report of the day’s activities will be displayed in the Oki Islands Geopark Museum alongside photos that show the insects observed and event activities. 

〇Information: 

(1) Date and Time: July 21, 2024 (Sun), 9:00 am–12:30 pm 

*Transportation to and from the Geopark Visitor Center is provided (meet at 8:45 am) 

(2) Location: Kunugi Forest, Araki, Okinoshima Town (Participants will be informed of the detailed location at a later date.) 

(3) For ages: 4th year elementary students and older (total spots: 10) 

(4) Instructor: Hiroki Ono (Assistant Professor at Oki Marine Biological Station, Shimane University)
